"When your soul wants to experience something, she throws out an image in front of her and then steps into it." Meister Eckhart, 13th c, Catholic mystic
In this workshop, we'll use the following techniques (and then some) to firstly, uncover the soul experience that wants your attention, and secondly, create maps and tools to navigate into that experience:
- Writing and art therapy based techniques that prompt information to arise from your subconscious. These processes are deeply influenced by the work of Jungian psychologist Marion Woodman.
- Movement art and yoga and breathing and chant to aide in the discovery process and to solidify intentions and to explore your inherent power for evolving.
- Tantric yoga philosophy to understand the disconnect between who you think you are and who you really are, and how recognizing the truth of you is the source of your ability to create the experiences you most want.
- Body painting/temporary tattooing of self-created sigils (magical symbols) to help you to, literally, absorb the intention.
- And as always, processes to deepen the roots of community, who will then set up accountability methods for the weeks following the workshop.
Almost 15 years ago, as I was journaling, I found myself suddenly describing an image of me, walking in downtown Erie in very feminine, fun, and light clothing (something I would have never worn at the time). I was carrying a bag, and in that bag, I knew there were writing materials, a yoga mat, and DANCE SHOES.
The dance shoes startled me most because I had stopped dancing in my mid-20s thanks to severe depression, but I knew this was a vision.
I had no idea the HOW of this vision, but within the next few years, the path became clear.
Now that I understand what was happening THEN, I can more consciously call forth and then step into my soul's desires, and I can help you to do the same.
Rather than, you know, waiting for a freaking decade! Because even though the soul has its own time, we can still do the work to cultivate the landscape for the soul to express itself.
